Our young learners from Std I to IV celebrated the beautiful festivals of Raksha Bandhan and Narali Pournima with immense joy, creativity, and awareness!
The day began with a short and meaningful explanation of the significance of Raksha Bandhan – a festival that celebrates love, protection, and the sacred bond between siblings. Students also learned about Narali Pournima, which marks the beginning of the new fishing season and is a day of offering gratitude to the sea and nature.
Rakhi-Making Activities Each standard participated in exciting rakhi-making sessions, where students crafted creative, colorful, and eco-friendly rakhis using beads, threads, paper, and natural materials. Guided by teachers, these activities sparked joy and imagination!
Rakhi for Real-Life Heroes To add depth to the celebration, Std IV students tied their handmade rakhis to community helpers and professionals—including doctors, police officers, firemen, cooks, soldiers, and school support staff—as a gesture of gratitude for their unwavering service and protection.
An awareness session helped children reflect on the true spirit of Raksha Bandhan—protecting each other, respecting all, and being kind to the environment. They also learned how every profession plays a vital role in keeping our society safe, strong, and united.
